"I am too old."
"I need to lose 10 pounds."
"I'm not photogenic."
As a photographer, I hear these words, and other self-demeaning words uttered from the lips of my clients, and it breaks my heart. We are enough now.
I've approached people taking a quick snap of their family in public, and offered to take the image so they can be in it too. We all deserve to exist in images. We are enough now.
In the future, we can look back and remember ourselves at that time. Or when we are gone, our loved ones can hold our memory close. This is part of the visual DNA of our families. We are enough now.
Let us be the role models of self acceptance for a younger generation. Let us relish our own existence. Let us find our own freedom. Let us remind ourselves, "I'm enough now." - Amanda

Strong. Smart. Bold. - Girls Inc.
The summer of my second grade year, I had the privilege to start my involvement in the Girls Inc. summer program. My mother, Angelina, is an alumnae, having been an active part of the organization from age six as a member, to her late teens when she became an instructor and was the 1969 Girl of the Year. The curriculum encompassed life skills, education, health, self-awareness and self-confidence. I really believe that Girls Inc. helped mould me into the woman I am today. Girls Inc. continues to work with Santa Fe girls to help mould the next generation of female leaders. Please consider donating to help the program and make a difference in a girl's future.
