MAKEUP AND HAIR ARTISTRY

Katie Douthit began her career in Albuquerque in 1982. Since then, she has provided professional hair and makeup artistry in California and New Mexico. Katie is certified in all aspects of professional makeup including film, television, photography, high fashion and special effects.

Over the years, she’s worked on several film and television productions, countless television commercials and print ads in New Mexico and California. Katie also wrote and implemented the curriculum for the first New Mexico film training program in 2002. She continues to work with the Film Training Program through various community colleges and the Governor’s Cup award films. For the past few years, she has mentored young people in makeup and hair for film and television through the Monte del Sol charter school. Katie is also the owner of Wild Hare Extension Studio in Santa Fe.
